Speaker Bio
Bill Deibler has an MSc. in Computer Science and over 25 years experience in the computer industry, primarily in the areas of software and systems development, software testing, and software quality assurance. Bill has extensive experience in managing and implementing CMM®- and ISO 9001-based process improvement in software, hardware and systems engineering environments. Bill is an SEI Authorized CBA IPI Lead Assessor and SCAMPISM Lead Appraiser for CMMI®.
Samuel Palmisano started as a software engineer at Hughes Aircraft Ground Systems in 1983 after completing four years of Army service. Since then, he has worked as a software/project engineer and software manager at Stanford Telecommunications, and as software manager for several ground combat system programs at United Defense. He is currently employed in Cisco System's Software Success Engineering department where he supports quality and process improvement efforts. Mr. Palmisano has a BS in Computer Science and Experimental Statistics from the University of Rhode Island. He is also a Certified Software Quality Engineer, and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.
Steve Myers has over 25 years of management experience and has a BS in Business Administration. He has worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Engineering Manager, and Product Assurance Manager for a ground combat system program at United Defense (Software Quality, Quality Engineering, Software Test, Reliability Engineering, and Vehicle Test). He began working with the SW-CMM in 1991 and moved into the Process Improvement field full-time in 1996. He has served as an SEPG member for three different companies, an SEPG Chairman, and has served on over 12 CBA-IPI appraisals and 2 SCAMPI-based appraisals. Mr. Myers is currently employed as a Staff Process Engineer at Applied Signal Technology, Inc. in Sunnyvale where he is co-leading the efforts to achieve CMMI level 3 across 9 satellite locations and is also leading the Technical Working Group for Measurement and Analysis.
