Transition to CMMI

Abstract
The Software Engineering Institute is transitioning from the separate and distinct Capability Maturity Models (Software, Systems, etc.) to the new Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI). Current plans are to "sunset" the existing CMM's at the end of 2003. This, combined with the fact that many government customers are requiring the use of the new CMMI, is compelling many companies to adopt its use. What is involved in transitioning to the CMMI? Learn from those who are blazing the trail. This presentation will be a panel discussion. Our panel consists of expert representatives from local companies involved in transition to the CMMI. Hear about their approach to implementing CMMI, and bring your questions to ask during the Q&A portion of the meeting.
